HI, I’M SAMMY!

Hi there! I'm Sam, a creative wedding and elopement photographer and videographer based in Perth Western Australia, with a passion for creative storytelling.

Originally from New Zealand, I found my love for photography through travel. For the past five years I have travelled to over 50 countries creating content for some of the most world-renowned brands. Ever since my first trip abroad, I fell in love with capturing the world through my lens and experiencing different cultures around the world.

This passion is what has led to the creation of Flowstate Visuals. I want to capture the raw and authentic moments on your special day. I want to hear your story. Let us in on the awkward first dates, the slightly less awkward second dates, meeting the parents, the proposal, the engagement. I want to capture the love that has your fingerprints all over it.

Creating a series of posed images that look nice is easy – but ultimately, it’s not a true version of who you really are. At Flowstate, we want to go much deeper than that. We love capturing the raw, unfiltered sides of people. The goosebumps, the loud and quiet, the inside jokes, the gut-busting laughs...you know, the real stuff.

Why Flowstate Visuals?
We like to treat every wedding with full passion and dedication, so we take time to get to know you as a couple, as well as scout out the perfect location for you. Believing that our job goes a little bit beyond clicking on the camera buttons, we are always happy to give you a hand with the wedding planning to ensure the best results on the day. Feel free to ask us about vendors we love working with or when the best light is. We believe in human connections and it is important that you like our personalities as much as you like our work, as we are going to spend the whole day together. The best way to find that out is to catch up for a cup of coffee or a drink (we can also catch up virtually via Zoom or FaceTime).
Comes your wedding day, our team will be there to capture every moment for you to remember. Our style is all about those relaxed natural photos of real live moments, however we are also happy to guide you. We care about what your day feels like and our goal is to give the best experience, not just great photos. We are always keen to go on a little adventure if time allows, however we value your time with the guests and won’t take you away from them for ages. We plan our shooting times in smaller sections around the best light on the day, so its a win-win for everyone!

At Flowstate, we are always chasing authentic and genuine moments. Each time we pick up our cameras, we set out to capture the raw and unfiltered, the grand and intimate, the loud and quiet, the laughter, the goosebumps, the formalities.
Although we love capturing these amazing moments, we want to go deeper than a few pretty photographs. Although they may look nice, they don’t connect with who you are. We want to dive down and find the real you.
We want start with your love story. The journey that’s brought you both to this point. The foundations that will carry you strongly into the future. Let us in on everything about yourselves - your favourite memory of each other, the time you laughed yourself breathless, the time you cried yourselves dry. We’ll entwine all of these details into our retelling of your beautiful day.
